Alex Halavais: Self-Introduction

As the new kid on the blog, I figured I should introduce myself. My name is Alex Halavais, and I now teach at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, mainly in an MS program in Interactive Communication. My research generally involves social computing, and especially blogging, and how public discussion occurs. I'm also interested in the diffusion of innovation. All of these, obviously, tie back to marketing in interesting ways. I've got a book coming out soon(ish), called Search Engine Society (Polity Press), and I blog over at a Thaumaturgical Compendium.
